Once the system isstable, then automated testing can be started. One of the purposes of automatedtesting is to ease regression testing. Testing methodology is appliedin two major phases: Functional Testing and Non-Functional Testing. The best approach is toconduct end to end testing. In situationswhere automated testing methodologies are employed, astandardized test bed of data may be required to facilitate theautomated assessment of "passed". Where testresults are specified, it is presumed that the inputs will beconsistent from text execution to execution. Effective testing requires thepresence of adequate and suitable test data. Rather than limiting this to aformally technical process used to investigate and measurequality of the developed computer software in terms ofcorrectness, completeness and security, it is imperative totest the software components and the software as a whole forintegrity, capability, reliability, efficiency, portability,maintainability, compatibility and usability of the software.This is particularly important in an operating environmentwhere it is planned to be implemented, and testing will needto adhere to the technical requirements as described underISO standard ISO 9126. In the simplest terms, Software Testing is aprocess to ensure the accuracy, completeness and quality ofany developed software.
